Sorry for abandoning this…
But it was a busy summer. I got back home last friday. I miss California a lot, and I miss the family I gained there even more. I originally thought this was gonna be a horrible trip, but God knows us best. The city alone was amazing. Throw in all the other SDSPers, and its the best summer anyone has ever had. Well, if you care at all about my summer, your would probably ask me in person, so here is where I end this blog. Thanks for reading! <3

First Sunday of SDSP.
Heyy!
Rachy: Thanks for liking my previous post. Atleast you read my blog. Love you <3
So, basically the only place I can get internet is outside. LOL. Its freezing out here! I knew that it would be chilly here, but goodness! I still love it out here tho.
Theres this algae in the ocean that at night, it lights up blue in the waves. ITS SO BEAUTIFUL! It looks like someone is flashing a blue light from within the rolling wave. Its insane. I tried taking a picture of it, but it won’t show. =[
Tomorrow I get to go to UCSD (University of California San Diego)! So excited! We’re gonna get to scope out the campus and do a bible study. But really, I’m just excited to see the school.
Well, IDK what else to tell you guys. I sorta miss home, but then I remember where I am, and I don’t miss anymore. I do miss my friends tho. But I’ll be back in August. No biggie.
Love you all, and talk to you soon!
Second day of Job Hunt…
You have no idea what it means to be tired until you search for jobs in San Diego by foot. My feet are calloused, my leg muscles are continually tense. But honestly, this is the most excited I’ve ever been about being dead tired. I really could use a foot massage right now though. Any takers? So, today God has already begun to teach me. I mean, He never stops teaching us, but today is the first real lesson He’s given me from Summer Project. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say my heart is not accepting grace the way it should be. Definetely something I will actively be working on with Jesus. I’m keeping the blog short today, cuz I’m tired and I wanna go spend some time with the Boss man (AKA God). I’m starting to wonder if anyone at all reads my blog… Formspring me if you do! I want some feedback! Here are somethings I would greatly appreciate it if you would pray for: -That God would provide me with a job -That if its His will, that job would be at Cafe 976 -That God just continue to teach me and help me to accept His grace in my heart -That I allow God into every part of my heart -That I would just learn how to trust in God completely and be dependent solely on Him. -That He would somehow provide me with the rest of my support for SP (which you can help in also =] ) If you’re still thinking about supporting me, the address to send the check to is in yesterday’s blog. You can check it out there. Thanks for reading, and for your prayers!
Sorry It’s been a while…
Hey! Sorry for the delay in the updates. I’ve been having some trouble finding WiFi here. So, I arrived in San Diego on Monday morning Cali time, afternoon Florida time. Long day of flights, but thank God I made it right on time to both of my flights! God blessed me with a free ride from the airport to project housing, and loving roomates to top it off. Honestly, I wasn’t too fond of San Diego at first, but it’s really growing on me. The weather is perfect, the waves are amazing, the houses are gorgeous, and the people are wonderful. As much as I thought I would hate it here, I’m finding out how easily I fit in here. The San Diego lifestyle is so attractive. PEOPLE RIDE BIKES HERE! Not just for fun, but for transportation. I think that is so great. I’ll be getting a bike soon to use for the summer. I’m so excited! Everything is within walking distance! My legs are sore, but my heart is happy.
Today was our first job hunt. I applied to Taco Bell… yeah, Taco Bell. Promised myself I never would, but when on Summer Project… guess I don’t have many options. I’ve applied at a few other places, mostly local shops. Tomorrow I’m applying to this cafe I’m in love with! Its called Cafe 976 (www.cafe976.com). This cafe is just amazing. If I were a coffee shop, this cafe would be me. Their music replicates my playlist, their drinks imitate the flavors I pour into myself daily, and their food embodies my culinary ambitions. When I tell you I am in LOVE with this Cafe, I really mean I’m head over heels. PLEASE PRAY THAT I GET HIRED THERE! I would love nothing more than to spend the next 2 months serving San Diego locals their favorite coffees, teas, and dishes with a side of Christ’s love. THAT IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD WILL PROVIDE ME A JOB AT THIS CAFE!
I’m loving San Diego life. This place is far from perfect, but it makes the absolute best with what its got. I only wish that other cities could do the same. I can’t believe God has given me the opportunity to serve Him in such a beautiful place. He could have sent me anywhere else in the world, but He sent me here, and I so don’t deserve it. I’ve screwed up way too many times for Him to let me serve Him here, but He decided to shower me in His grace. It just leaves me in awe.
It’s 10:38 PM PST, 1:38 AM EST right now. Just letting you know.
I really can’t believe this is my life! I did everything to not deserve this, yet here I am, in San Diego. WOW. God has taken me further, both spiritually and in terms of travel, than I could have ever hoped to do on my own. I feel like I’ve been cut a sweet deal.
God: “So, if you do my will, I will take you beyond the places you have wanted to go.”
Human: “Okay, God. What is your will?”
God: “Tell others about me in the places I take you.”
Human: “Wait… You’re gonna take me to the edge of amazing in exchange for something I would do even from the valley of the shadow of death? What’s the catch?”
God: “There is no catch.”
Seriously. Best deal ever. I get eternal life, with a side of abundant earthly life, all in exchange for doing something I love. REALLY? REALLY?!?! Sometimes this whole Jesus thing just seems so surreal, but in a good way.
Life is definetely good.
So, I’m still not done with raising support. I’m still only about half-way there. There is still time for me to raise it, so I’m gonna ask all of you for a favor. If you can, please support me. Any little bit helps. If you can’t, please help me out by asking those you know if they are willing to support me, parents, church, etc. Another way you can help me out is just to pray that God would provide support.
Please make checks out to Campus Crusade for Christ.
Mail them to:

11 Days…
So my trip is right around the corner! Im so nervous/excited/a whole mess of other emotions. A little longer than a week left here at home then I’m off to San Diego! Err… not sure whether to be happy or sad that I won’t be home for 2 months. And I’m almost for sure visiting my family in NY right after, and possibly Baltimore right after that, so I wont be home for much longer than 2 months. But it’ll be an adventure! And I’m excited for that!
I’ve raised a little over $1000… I’m not sure exactly how much. But I’ve still got a long way to go, and a little time to get there. I’m just gonna wait on God to work it out.
We’ll see what happens.
21 Days…
I can’t believe its so close! AHHH! So many things to get done, only 21 days to do them! But on the brighter side of things, only 21 more days till I get to see the other side of this country :D So excited! I promise you guys I WILL learn to surf! The only thing I’m not excited for is that 5am flight. -_- I’m not gonna sleep at all that night.
:D

Sorry I didn’t post anything yesterday. But here is something exciting! I booked my flight to San Diego just now! YAYY! I leave from FLL at 5:40 am. Guess who’s not sleeping the night before! I get to San Diego at 10 am-ish. And I have a layover in ATL(<3 ATL) BUT ATLEAST I HAVE WINDOW SEATS!! I’m still figuring out whether I wanna stop in NY for a few days coming back from San Diego, or if I wanna go straight home. I’ll decide that later when I’m ready to book my return flight.
